It's Thanksgiving, and I am feeling incredibly grateful. These last few years have been rough, but I'm holding it together, and it could never have happened alone. Even in the lowest depths of my poutiness, I remember that I wouldn't be here without the loving support of the people in my life - my husband and family and friends.
But it's more than that. I am thankful for the wheel for teaching me patience, and confidence, and stillness. I am thankful for clay for teaching me about memory and the limits of my body. How to be pliable and tough at the same time, how to love something and let it go, how to value imperfections - all of this, and so much more.
Here's Mr. Rogers, telling it like it is.
